    Yes. Every aftermarket radiator I've seen (granted, that's a small sample size) has them.

    That is the trend in aftermarket, an attempt at less inventory to cover more applications.

    So "yes" means yours was replaced at some point. Another thing to look at would be the bottom of the shroud. On mine (OE) the bottom edge of the shroud is right on top of the lower core seam, no lower. Feel around down there and see if there is some core not covered by the shroud.

    Did you get yours installed? If so what route did you go to address the shroud? Did you cut your or were you able to fit a different shroud

Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
    I have not installed it yet. I’m a merchant mariner currently on ship and won’t be able to install till June. Can’t wait to get home. Going to have a bunch of parts for the truck waiting for me! :D

    I had mine installed and the shroud was just trimmed up. Had to lengthen the lower radiator hose for my 3.4 auto 4wd.

    Good to know, ordered mine a few days ago. Will be interesting to see if it lowers the heat of the engine with a supercharger. My temp runs 195-200 now

    Mine was always running warm and I put in the aluminum radiator and turned the jiggle valve on the thermostat to 6 oclock and now it is a consistent 186.8 or a little more! I did change the thermostat too just to be sure with the new radiator... Cooling great now!

    @greenseaman I think we have nearly identical trucks. My factory radiator started leaking this week and I want to go with the Aluminum Champion. Other than trimming shroud and lengthening the lower hose, was there any other issues? Overall depth still OK with the fan? Thanks!

    Still working on the last bit of the shroud. Main need was more airflow moving at slow crawling rpms. Will update when i get the whole setup installed with controller.

    Shroud still unbolts with the factory mounting, and the small rectangle box is where the controller is going to live.

    Well it’s in the truck, now another thing to find in Fairbanks on Monday is a shorter bottom hose. It needs to be about 2-1/2” shorter than the original, same offset just shorter. Anyone done this and have a number for the hose handy?
    Behold it would appear that a Gates 22120 can be made to fit. Thanks to 1997Tacomav6 for the write up.

    Fits pretty good, looks like a quality build. Guess time and a bottom radiator hose will tell
