When I pulled my transmission to do my clutch. I saw mine crusted up. Cleaned it up and just JB welded it along the seems. It’ll do for another 60-75k till next clutch

I have to say, just found my pipe all crusted up in pink, at least I got over 120,000 kilometers (yea, I'm in Canada lol) on my '17. For now, I'll probably put the plastic one back on, don't need it going real bad in the middle of winter!

I would like to add my name to the list for one also please! Will have it for the next time, lol.
    Thanks

I just had this done at the stealer and if it helps anyone with the parts list, this is what was listed on my invoice:

    16356-31051 - water bypass joint x1
    17176-31130 - gasket, air surge tan x1
    90301-05011 - o-ring x6
    23256-31010 - fuel injector o-ring x6
    23258-31020 - fuel injector o-ring x6
    17177-0P030 - intake manifold gasket x2
    Jug of coolant - x1
Fuel injectors are removed so recommend putting on new o-rings.

Total cost of parts for me in Canadian was $500, total job was $1600 cdn.

Just for future reference, this parts list is different depending how the repair is done. Most people I have seen pull the trans but are usually doing a clutch or something back there at the same time. This particular parts list suggests they went in from the top and pulled the intake.

I believe the official Toyota repair method is to disconnect everything and lift the cab, leave the engine and trans intact.

Just like pulling the intake to swap plugs or removing the front driveshaft to mess with the accumulator.

    not enough.

i mean, that's actually not a terrible price to be completely honest. I was expecting something like 2x more expensive. That said, looks like they did the least amount of work to get thigns off to get to it.
