Does anyone know of an aluminum transmission skid that works with the OR front skid? I don’t want to purchase a complete set if I do t have to.

It looks like RCI off-road makes an aluminum skid plate that will work with the basic oem skid plate or trd pro skid plate.

I guess I didn’t read down far enough. I stopped when I saw this:
OEM/TRD PRO Engine Skid Plate Hardware *

To use this skid plate with an OEM or TRD Pro front engine skid plate, additional hardware is required.

Unless you have the pro skid i would replace bolth.

I have an aluminum engine and trans skid from okx and they have treated me very well so far.

It would be pretty silly to combine the OR sheet metal (1mm ish) splash guard with a 1/4” (6mm) aluminum transmission skid plate, because the two have vastly different strength. I can bend the OR splash guard with my hands.

Note that, though a steel sheet is about twice as strong as an aluminum sheet of the same width (depending on alloys), the bending strength of a sheet or beam is proportional to the square of its thickness. Thus a 6mm aluminum sheet is 9 times stronger than a 1mm steel sheet.

I briefly had the front skid... I can attest, it's very well made.

I ultimately went with the CBI plate, as it played well with my rear CBI plate... but found the OKX to be a superior design/execution.

Which, OP, CBI makes a 1/4" aluminum or 3/16" steel skid that plays well with OEM front skids. It's also convenient that the one plate makes up for most companies mid and rear skid.
