Well, you had FM, but you could only listen to it on the Magnavox Console stereo...

I own a third gen, but my (factory) radio tuner shit the bed during a recent drive. I went from FM to AM to listen to a traffic report, and the AM was muted (no static). Thought maybe the station's feed went dark. When I went back to FM, no go. But the iPod (USB) and XM worked... Turning the radio off then on did not clear the issue. AM and FM came back when I restarted the car. Go figure....

I suspect it's due to the XM radio uploading your location history to the CCP.

No, I'm very young and hip. I only listen to the radio because I don't have a CD player in the car anymore!

    Somewhere we went off track
but i do appreciate the levity. LOL
I can see my radio issue is not an isolated issue, but i wonder if it is widespread enough to get Toyota's attention.

I'm personally hoping it's maybe just a common factory-installation issue and someone more electrically inclined than me can figure out which wires to jiggle.

My money is that there is a side condition system or softare bug in design.
like truck is booting before connecting to phone type thing. And truck system has to
    be rebooted to correct it.

    This keeps happening.
I asked grok and it pointed me to toyota nation where there are many 2025
toyota models with this issue. I hope it grows enough to get attention
    to fix it.
