I believe this would be the wrong forum for this post.

But, aside from being rusty I don't see anything that looks too bad. You'd be best off jacking it up and checking the ball joints, bearing, etc if you need peace of mind.

Thanks. And yeah, I definitely posted this in the wrong place. How do I move it?

I think only mods can move threads. Someone will see it soon.

You know how to check the LBJ and such?

Nope. This is my "learners" truck. I'm sure there's a you tube video it there.

Cool yeah "how to check lower ball joint".

Good choice for a starter truck. Tacomas are _usually_ easy to diagnose and fix.

Always a good idea to take a few hours and crawl all around under the truck inspecting everything you can. Then if you know someone with one in better shape go compare and see whats worn on yours.

But you can go ahead and take that rusty brake shield off they really dont do much anyways.

If parts are rusting through on your truck, check where the leaf springs connect to the frame in front of the rear wheels. That's a good spot to check if you need to inspect for rust damage, which I said would be warranted.

Send me a pic of your leaf springs if you would. I think mine need replacing, but also where your frame connects to those springs.

Just as I thought. My leaf springs need replacing. Mine are "frowning"
