Insane sanity. One of the most unuseful product.

Toyota could put Ford and GM out of business if they could just solve this pesky gas cap issue.

    Yep, pretty simple.

    But could be simpler.

I have a 3d printed version that I made myself. Unscrew cap, put in hole. The tether on the other hand is always stuck the wrong direction and needs to be straightened. Then strange little crook in the cable doesn't just fall onto the little arm that sticks out and likes to get stuck when removing it from the lid. Then again the stupid cable is stuck the wrong way and needs to be twisted the other direction to get the cap back on the tank.

Hardly hard and takes but a few seconds, but it's also fiddly and annoying. The gashole, or whatever it is called, is just one simple motion.

The stock system is like having to enter your pin code before using the microwave, sure, quite simple, but annoying and there are better solutions.

Lol life is hard. Simple for some, really hard for others.
Reality says the OEM solution is not hard.

Not sure how to explain it to you any more. I literally said multiple times that the stock solution was NOT hard, actually that it was quite easy. The fact that in any way you took that as saying it is hard is mind boggling.

Yup that. Never had an issue or even a thought about getting something else to hold the cap

Why? I’ve used it since 2016 and haven’t had a single issue doing it that way

I've found that typically the person that considers himself a perfectionist is someone that doesn't have a fucking clue...but sees the problem as he is so superior that the mundane concept he can't comprehend is the inferior denominator.
