    A surprisingly good looking truck.

There wasn't a production date on the Toyota Owners search. Is there typically one? Could I expect it might take longer for them to receive than I am being led to believe, because there is no production date? Can you tell I am a cynic at heart?

I will get photos before I leave to go get it. They don't have it yet. Supposedly in F status.

In my dealings as of late, some states collect the tax (based on residence) and send it back to the state of residence/registration. Some have offered to sell it and just let me handle it. My tag office (I spoke to four different ones) had some very specific advice to help insure I don't end up paying twice, as they are going to charge it no matter if the dealer collects and returns it to them or not. It's actually one of the more stressful parts of the deal for me. I'm trying to get the dealership together with the tag office also, just to make sure we are all on the same page. I don't want to give back my good deal, by some tax loophole crap.

If you are trying to find an Access Cab Off Road Manual it does not exist here in the US.

Interesting, I suppose it could vary state to state. You could have a local dealer swap it. They go on a transport truck. I went this route after finding mine. They waived the transport fee for me. If you have already started negotiations with the other dealership, it makes it a little trickier.

I just looked at the owners site. It shows order date and first date it went in use, for mine, it was the day I purchased.

dealers all around portland do that too. It pissed me off when I was buying my truck. They list what inventory they are getting for the next 6+ weeks not only what is on the lot.

Well, it fell thru. Caught the dealer lying to me about having to collect state taxes in Salt Lake City, even though I would register it here, in Oklahoma. Funny, not only did I locate an affidavit for their state that specifically stated I do not have to pay there, I contacted The DMV and Tax Commission. A few transfers later... a nice lady in the Utah DMV Regional Accounting office verified I was absolutely correct and the dealer does NOT collect the taxes.

I was looking at VIN 5TFSZ5AN8JX145382. Quoted at $35,577.00 + 299 Doc Fee + 49.75 for paper tag = $35,925. I also would likely have accepted the same in Cement, or possibly Inferno (if it didn't have the orange on the interior doors also).

Probably not rare, but took me a lot of effort to find.

I tell ya though, I'm fed up with the whole process for now. Maybe I will look again next year...

May be what you read, but not what I input.

I asked about getting played by a dealer on one that I already found. The specific model wasn't the issue, the dealers behavior was.

Others turned it into a thread about specific details of a particular truck.

    Thanks for playing.... next?

As for the number of vehicles they show, often they will give you the total count of vehicles within their selling group. If a dealership is part of multiples, that happens.

If you are speaking of my post, I was trying to get the OP to tell the people here what kind of a truck he was looking for. If you read all of the posts, you will find some of the replies were about trying to figure/guess what he wanted to find. At least my response pulled out of him what he wanted!
