I completely understand your point of view Phil. Im willing to pay for the new differential. What I have been looking for has been a straight answer as to why I need it. The service manager just saying well you need a new diff without providing any back-up as to why I need it just doesnt seem right...That argument does work with my wife when I say, well I need to buy a new gun and she asks why and I just reply with because I do. There needs to be a valid reason how they came up to that conclusion or am I wrong on this one?

No, you are right on this one. If they are trying to replace the dif for the sake of racking up hours that's bs. Now, in my mind it would pay more for doing needle bearings as they would charge for R&R lower arms, R&R shafts, R&R rack, R&R bearings, and alignment.

FWIW there is a member here who has a front dif (2012) for sale for $375. I can't link it right now though.
