Finically it makes no sense.
Emotionally it makes all the sense.

I'm going to go check it out on Friday, so, we'll see. Just gonna go look.

IMHO life is way too short to be driving a vehicle that you are not completely satisfied with.

Unless it’s a terrible financial decision, I wouldn’t even think twice about it. Go get the color you want and enjoy every second of it.

 

Cosmetically it's been beat to shit. No wrecks, but there's permanent sap on the hood, a few scratches, and the roof was leopard spotted with mildew. Interior is absolutely filthy and will need a disassembly and deep shampoo. And, uh, I just got nailed by a fat hailstorm, which does not help things. But I've been buffing and treating it back into shape.

Engine wise, almost suspiciously clean. It looks brand new under the hood. Fluids all look good. Clutch is solid. Brakes look good. Rear diff/CVs also look suspiciously immaculate. It has yellow billsteins and they are still looking sealed and responsive. And it wants to go like a bat out of hell.

 

If you can’t pay the difference in cash it’s a no go imo.

Well then. I’d say get the most for yours give them the least for theirs and pay cash.

 

I say no. Just for a color? Nah. Sport also not as good as OR imo.

 

I’ve met people who didn’t like the way it taste. But they love the way it smells.

I wouldn’t unless they gave you crazy money on the trade.

Would be nice to pay off the current one. As others have suggested get a burner car for the commute.

Here's an idea - buy a mod for your truck that you've put off for whatever reason.

But go ham on it, spend a bit more than you normally would for yourself.

Do this and it'll solidify keeping your current rig, not to mention getting something nice. Also didn't realize you had an OR, so yeah you'd be crazy to get rid of your locker for a dumb scoop!
