Ok, to OP. I checked my oil by pulling out the dipstick, not much different than any other truck I've ever owned accept it has a kink in it which makes it more difficult to put back in.. No, I never turned it either way? Ooops? My bad I guess... I would take your rig to the dealer and ask the tech to show you how he checked your oil level?
Also, your transmission oil is a whole different process, no dipstick.... search!!!!!!

I'm not sure that I would have night dropped this. I would want to be there to see how they fixed it. If the tech was standing on my engine trying to yoke the thing out at least I could snap a pic in case this problem leads to other problems.

Did u loosen the fill and try to remove it? My guess is some sort of negative pressure and you may get an oil change out of it.

Last night was fun and as you found out TW likes grammar. We all get flame at some point whether its out of fun, love, or necessity. Most of the time when this happens it keeps the riff-raff out whichs helps keep the integrity of the forum. And my dad bought a brand new Chevy Blazer a long time ago. The dip stick was rusted in the hole. They didn't coat the inside of the thing the dipstick sits in

 

Well, they called me this morning to tell me there working on it whatever that means. I said I want my car back by days end. I tolled a woman who didn't know anything just calling me to let me know the car was being looked at .So I said can you let the tech know one more thing . When I was going 50 mph on the highway in cruise control I saw the rpm drop twice almost to zero one of the 2 times it was zero, without the truck stalling out.
