Are you trying to pull the oil or tranny dipstick? Many modern automakers use a special tool to pull the tranny dipstick. That way you have to go to the dealerships to service them

I said elsewhere that I seem to recall reading about negative pressure being built up in a transmission and causing a dipstick to be hard remove due to the vacuum.

But, I have a bad memory and could be making it up altogether and convincing myself it actually happened.
