You meant 285 for the tire, correct?

Might want get 2 degree axle shims, also you sure you want heavy duty leafs? With only extra 350lbs. I would do clam shell bearing right away. Assume you meant 285's, you probably will be doing some trimming for them to fit.

Recalibrate your speedometer for the larger tires. Otherwise your odometer and fuel computer will be off as well.

So you recommend a Hypertech unit?

Or do you have cheap tricks for this?

As mentioned, the ECGS bushing for the front diff while you're in there. Also consider extended rear brake lines. Not familiar with the extended length of those rear shocks, but they may allow enough travel to stretch/break factory lines in rear.

    Some things to think about.

    CMC (expect front end rubbing).
    Mud flap removal (rubbing).
Carrier bearing shim (drive shaft angle).

Extra Credit Reading: Big brake kit (BBK), and regearing

    Extra gas money.

    All good points above.
Shims probably, 350lbs is not that much extra weight. Extended rear brake lines. Chop cab mount, lift doesn’t prevent rub. ECGS bushing. Alignment.

I wouldn’t worry about the speedometer. I went up to 32” tire and the speedometer still consistently reads about 2mph less than GPS speed at 70mph.

I just learned yesterday that some people do a sway bar relocate kit. This was for bilstein 6112s though so I'm not sure if it's applicable for your fox shocks.

I second the above to ditch the Dakar pack and go Deaver, Icon RXT or Alcan.
A much smoother ride will be the outcome…been there done that

    For all yes. 285's

Okay are the deavers stage 1 that much more worthy and smooth? Experience?

I can see about the shims for the axle

Cab mount chop needed even with the 3" that I was planning on.

Definitely good call on the speedometer calibration and wheel and tire calibration.

What would the ECGS bushing fix or alleviate?

Regearing to 4.88 wayyy later on though. Gotta save up for that.
