    workin' on it.
So I have decided so add a little height to my 2014 Tacoma, and being stationed on Oahu, there isn't many options as far as shops go to get this installed. The best reviews for knowledgeable employees and recommended brands seem to point me to Maui Offroad, in Waipahu area. However, I was quoted about $1170 for a 5100 Bilstein lift, that all I know right now includes the differential drop. lifts the rear up 1.5" , and levels the front to that. Not even sure if this includes alignment at the moment.

Reading the forums on here I haven't seen a 3inch kit costing so much installed, and I can't help but wonder just how freaking hard this would be to take on solo in my own garage.

-Price wise is this about right for the brand and the fact that I'm in Hawaii? Or are these guys blowing smoke?

-Installing this sort of lift alone ... realistic for a guy with no real background as a mechanic or working on Toyotas? ( I had a Dakota before this, did everything from spark plugs to dropping the pan flushes)

Go to the hobby shop by the main NEX and do it there. It's simple enough and if you need the help the guys that work there are usually pretty good about it. If not my buddy Sean owns his own shop in Kaneohe and he could probably give you a good deal. http://www.kaneoheautocare.com/

I installed my 5100's on the front to level my truck. Did it at the hobby shop on Hickam and the guys there pretty much walked me through it.
