I have a 2015 Tacoma 4 door and this is my first: Toyota and first 4 x 4. I am a little surprised at a lot of things it doesn't have.
No outside temp readout, no auto headlight, no auto door locks when engine is engaged. Also I rarely drive at night but I was out in the snow the other night and I found that the control for the 4 wheel drive is not iluminated. I found myself fumbling around trying to engage it when I hit an area where snow had drifted over the road. Also the cruise control is in a space that you can hardly see at night also.
I am very surprised at the lack of these things on a 2015.

Your not missing anything, my '07 is the same way.

All that stuff (except the cruise control) can be changed.

The temp readout is an option, my 05 has it. The cruise is in a silly place, but once you memorize it it isn't tough. The 4wd switch is nuts...its even set up for lights ffs...

If you didn't notice those things while you were researching your purchase or on the test drive then yes, you missed a few things.

Goes to show you what having no competition gets you, less options for more money. Cruise control stalk is like the wiper or headlight stalk tho...once you get use to it you won't need it illuminated.
