I would look that over with a fine tooth comb, make sure the car fax hasnt caught up to the accident/repairs. Some will get in an accident and broom the car before the report hits carfax. Look for signs of tape lines, overspray, paint orange peel, paint defects, part number stickers that were not removed. misaligned panels, etc... Make sure it has a clean no rebuilt title, as well. The term buyer beware, is there for a reason. If it checks out, and you like it... It is your coin. Ski

Make sure it's a 4wd drive offroad and not a 2wd. 2wd offroad 3rd gens do exist (basically the equivalent of the 2nd gen prerunner with an offroad rear differential but no 4wd), and I've seen them occasionally pop up for a substantial amount less than typical TRD offroad sell price for a similar truck.

If on a Toyota lot and not CPO that's a question mark, if on a Honda or Ford lot okay then.
Access Cab or Double Cab (if DC then Short [5ft] or Long Bed [6ft])

Have you punched the vin into carvana? That will get you a current dealer buy price. Then you can haggle over their profit and the value they provided.

So you wouldn't try to save $325 if you could? That's almost 1% off the sales price. Not sure why you would even think that was funny?

Everyone always has the leverage to walk away. Never give that up. Or even think about it.

    That's the ticket.

There is at least one whiner thread on here a week complaining about a recent purchase. Maybe one of them had the stones to shut up and swap it for something else to whine about.

Or they were financed to the gills and lost their job.

Or got pregnant with no other financial path. Etc etc etc.

I wouldn't bicker over that amount of the doc fee and I laughed because it's like trying to negotiate over a couple pennies in the scheme of things. Would instead try for $38k before taxes and see where it leads because that will also reduce tax burden a little.

I think @BTL Y-Wing is on to something. When we find out it's 2wd, $325 will be the least of the concerns.

Seems like a good deal to me since your talking about a 2023 TRD 4WD. I got my 2020 SR5, V6, 2WD, DCLB back in April and paid (after some haggling) $34,000. It was off personal lease and had only 8,200 miles. It was listed on my local Toyota dealers website at $37,500. Was also certified used. I'm happy with mine. No complaints about seating position or transmission shifting. I drove a couple others that were 2019 models and they didn't have the power drivers seat so that's probably the difference. I did notice one of the 2019's I drove did shift a little weird as far as up/down shifting when I didn't expect it.

Also, Confirm if it's 4wd or not. ;)

Lack or 4wd drastically changes this deal.

Ok…done deal. I want to thank you all for the input and sarcasm. I offered $37,250 and they took it with bs 650 doc fee. So $37,900. The unit was a trade in at a jeep Chrysler dealer. They were going to whole sale it to the Toyota dealer across the street, but my offer was better (so they say). I did have the vin and paid $9 for a copy of the original window sticker. All verbal and written and video checked out with sticker.
I put $1000 down and going to pick up Friday.

I feel good about the deal and honestly don’t think all dealers are bad.

Sales guy was young thus ended up working with him and the GM.

I will post pics upon receipt. Good deals can be had, but they are few and far between and you gotta get lucky.

    thx again!
