Oh man, those are normal. Don't worry about it. If the leather is too tight it will stretch the seams and they will eventually fail.

It's fine man. Every Toyota with leather I've had came with a few wrinkles. Besides, its an OR model. Once the seats are all covered in mud you won't notice them at all.

I would say not nitpicking. At least discuss it with the dealer and hear what they have to say.

The sun should take care of it, pre delivery prep probably would have included them steaming the wrinkles out but sounds like you skipped that step by asking them to leave the plastic on.

Very nice truck, if you’re not happy say something. You’re footing the bill and these trucks aren’t cheap. When that much money is spent you need to be satisfied...

Minority opinion. You are not nitpicking. Inform the dealer of the problem. If the wrinkles don't level out in a couple of weeks, have the cover replaced. Replacing the cover is not a big deal. Yeah...it's a truck, but what difference does that make.

This is TW. You are going to get the "hurrr durr its a truck" crowd for any criticism of these trucks. I'd ask to look at other trucks on the lot to see if they are in the same shape. If yours is wrinkly and obviously different from the rest, say something.

From personal experience, if this is bothering you now youre going to have a blast owning a Tacoma.

I’m with op on this one. When you buy something new you should get new. My leather came smooth and new. New because it I bought it brand new. To me he got a 99.9 new taco but paid for it 100 percent. It’s like having a small paint chip on it then the guys on the forum are going to say well it’s going to get some anyways. Maybe it’s my ocd.

This. If your not happy with it at 100 miles on , you will certainty not be happy with it at 10,000 miles. If you do deicide to go back to the dealer over this , let us know how it plays out.

The difference is a paint chip can lead to rust and can affect the longevity of the paint job and lead to many more problems down the road. These are a few wrinkles that will literally not affect the truck at all. Except in 10 years all the leather seats are going to have wrinkles and he wont be able to tell the difference.

So go ahead, get them to put in a warranty claim for something most people wouldnt even notice. The dealership probably already thinks he is special needs because he didnt want them to take any plastic off of the truck.

You're not nit picking. Wrinkles in new car upholstery is common. It all depends on the type of material used. Make sure to bring it to your salesmans attention though. A few days in the sun should remedy the problem.
