I sold my 01, possibly going to get back into a 2011 trd sport. i have my stereo stuff from the old truck (JL 5 channel and 2 8" w3s). keep in mind this would be on a budget.

the 700/5v2 amp accepts hi and/or low inputs if i remember correctly, could i keep the factory headunit for the time being, cut all the input speaker wires to the factory amp, install RCA ends to plug into the JL Amp to get the input signal, grab the factory output wires, connect to the amp. and have the JL now powering the door speakers? Run a y adapter off the rear channel RCA's to plug into the Subwoofer RCA input.

i would then remove the factory sub box (unless a single 8w3v3 would fit in the box, then id go that route and sell the other sub)

Obviously i would run the amps own power and ground cables.

at a later date when funds allow i would install a DDIN headunit and run the proper RCA cables which would have a much stronger signal going to the amp. at which time i could also just use the cheaper wiring harness instead of a TATO harness

i can get the wiring schematics no problem, and ive bypassed factory amps before, just havent put in an aftermarket in place of the factory amp before.

am i on the right track with this or am i missing something?

i would also have no problem putting a different sub into the factory box if the w3 would not fit.
