Commercial scales are typically regulated by the State's Weights & Measures Division.

These are the guys that assure gas pumps are correct and accurate. Fuel pumps are one of their many items they check and regulate.

The "dump" scale is likely only off by a few % at full reading, which is likely near the 100,000 lb range. The resolution is probably 100 lbs or more. Resolution is simply the smallest reading the scale can determine. In other words, the scale doesn't know the difference between 50 or 150 lbs, it will provide the same reading. Any two place numbers (ie 1xx) should be ignored.

Our Tacomas at full load barely touch the scale's capacity. Its like putting a Chihuahua on a 300 lb bathroom scale.

I made mine from a tractor supply stall mat. 3/4 in thick. It is heavy.

I’d rather not. I’m just saying there’s plenty of ways other than a CAT scale. Which you said is the only true way. Could also go to a real racing team and have it weighed on a corner weight scales.

The only true realistic and easy way for the average Jeff, Jane, or Joe. How many race teams do you have on speed dial?

It amazes me how people on here will take things so literal and can’t possess just a little common sense and will argue about anything. Here is a typical day on the 3rd Gen section:

rcwhat says, “I just shit my pants!”
TW 3rd Gen, “No you didn’t, it was a shart.”
TW 3rd Gen, “No, that is a full on shit I’m sure. Who would say that on the open forum? Got any pics?”
TW 3rd Gen, “Well actually, I’m studying to be a lawyer.”
TW 3rd Gen, “Well you are used to screwing people in the ass!”
TW 3rd Gen, “GO SUCK IT!”
TW 3rd Gen, “Your Momma!” Hits report button.
rcwhat, “guys guys guys, I just farted. Damn!”
TW 3rd Gen, “ooooohhhhh. I totally thought you shit your pants. I was wondering if you called insurance for the soiled seat cover.”
TW 3rd Gen, “He’s full of shit. Totally crapped his pants.”
TW 3rd Gen, “He’s not full of shit anymore:rofl:!”
TW 3rd Gen, “Is that insurance fraud?”
TW 3rd Gen, “I’m new here. What size tire can I fit...”
rcwhat, “FML.” Goes and gets rip roaring drunk sitting at bar mumbling “I didn’t shit my pants. Fuck TW.”

I don't think you could fit that big of truck on our little scale in Corinth https://www.google.com/maps/place/1...5ac1f31df6dd71!8m2!3d43.2148224!4d-73.8406428

The scale platform only needs to be big enough for the trucks rolling across it.

These scales typically use Load Cells to determine the weight.
