No all four catalytic converters are gone I used URD's power extractor pipes as they're called for coming off the engine block then had the Y pipe (also from URD's site) modified for enough spacing for welding the pipes (you'll see where the cut was made in pic four) that then run to the resonators I don't have a write up for this and I had a shop do the welding though I was there for the whole process it's actually pretty simple as only an inch to inch and a half was cut out of the Y pipe also the tabs (you'll see what talking about in the pics) to allow for the spacing from there it was just a few cuts of the straight piping and welding everything in.

right on. well i was figuring the actual exhaust part wouldn't be too hard to wrap my head around... but what about codes, driveability, tune/throttle weirdness, and emissions, etc or whatever you can comment on? and any driving/motor improvements? i run the OV tune for the MT and it's great, but i also know there's more available, particularly in terms of throttle response & modulation.

I also run OVtune but mines an AT so v1.02c shift map a (Can't wait for v1.03 to finally be out of testing) can't really comment on driveabilty yet as it's been quite cold here in Michigan since install temps have been from the single digits to low 50's so on the cold days the truck runs like crap barely able to hold even 5th gear on the highway going 60 and with it poor mpgs as well typically 14 to 15mpgs this is also with a 4inch lift and heavy 33's, however on the few days it's around 50 to 45 degrees it runs quite well going up small hills and other slight inclines in 5th with just a bit of extra throttle also without losing any speed and average between 18 to 19mpgs.

The codes it's showing are P0420 and P0430 both say Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 for 420 bank 2 for 430.

Around 2 months ago I installed larger wheels and tires and noticed about a 2 MPG decrease. After trying to think of some ways to get back some of that mileage I decided to design and build a pan to go under the truck to decrease drag and increase my MPG. Three days ago I posted in another thread since I wanted to post it the actual day that I installed it. The following link will give you a much more detailed write up.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-have-you-done-to-your-3rd-gen-today.399305/page-3812
    See post#76236.

The trip information is from a trip that I have made around 25 times in the last 2 years. I was averaging 24-25+ MPG before the new wheels and tires but it dropped to 22-23 MPG after. You can see that my MPG on this trip was 25.5 MPG. I will be making this trip another 10 times in the next few months to get a more accurate average but I am very pleased with the preliminary results. This trip is almost 90% highway on I-95 in Florida which is about as flat as you can get. I usually drive with the flow of traffic in the middle lane which is 75-80 MPH. I do not expect the city driving MPG to be very different because the effect of drag is much less.

how thick is the metal you used? That looks like it would help keep debris out of your chassis.

I used 3/32 inch or .090 inch of 5052 grade aluminum sheet. It is thick enough to prevent rocks being spit up on the road from denting it but not so thick as to add any unnecessary weight. It is not a substitute for an off-road skid plate but it will give some protection. My only purpose was to improve my MPG.

whew, I'm glad I scrolled down. At first I thought it was an anal plug. You know, one of those sleeper performance mods no body sees, but they FEEL the difference.

Really well two years old and no signs of wear. I have had them on my trucks before and the guards do start to show rust. The BEDLINER I used is called ONYX it is a lot rougher than others

This looks great! Do you have a write up on this? Any specs? Part numbers? Do the drawers pull all the way out and utilize all of the space under the deck?
