No matter what size carb I run I get the same fuel mileage, I've tried a 1050cfm dominator to a 750cfm and no change . My fuel press guage will drop 1-2psi on accel if tank is under a 1/2 tank !!

I think its the way the sender unit is deigned.
I do the first 60 miles untill the needle drops to F mark, then 60 more at every other 1/4 tank.
So in theory, and as we can see by other comments, at zero there is actually a quarter tank left (or 5 galons).
Others have commented on getting another 75 to miles out of the tank at zero...
    20 mpg x 4 gal = 80 miles...
    Yup case closed for me!
Only solution is to bend the sender arm up further to reflect the 1/4 left in the tank..:annoyed:

See the attached from RockAuto on how the pump is made...it will all make sense after seeing the pump.

    I fill at a 1/4 tank, I feel better when it’s full. It’s a Boy Scout thing.

I put 20.956 gallons in my truck yesterday. Left all my money at home. Didn’t realize it until I was really far away from home.

The fuel tank actual volume is as specified. The fuel tank volume is 80 liters, which equates to 21.1338 gallons. The fuel gauge is an instrument to measure the approximate remaining volume of fuel, while providing the operator with ample warning the tank is approaching empty.

Do you walk around with tinfoil on your head so no can hear your thoughts?

I’ve run my Tacoma’s down to E and below since I bought my first one in 2005. Never a single problem with any of them. I couldn’t imagine filling up every 3-4 days at half a tank of gas.

Yeah, you certainly aren't hurting the fuel system by doing that.

Nice that everyone is free to run their machines as they see fit.

Lots to be thankful for today, not a perfect system but pretty damn good, and lots of sacrifices have been made to keep it running.

So, let me add -thank you for your service.

You did just say wind shear?

With over 400mi of range, I just ain't worried. What worries me is choosing between the bike or the Taco to bug out with.

Yes wind shear, straight line winds that rip power poles in half. We had such a case a few years ago, some areas were without power for 3 days. You are not going to go far on an empty tank.
