    Computer punch cards when I took computer science were technically referred to as Hollerith cards. IBM APL (A Programming Language) was out by the early 70's and punch cards were mainly used as aperture cards with the metadata stored on the card. All branches of the military used them widely last century. In the private sector many blueprints were stored on them.

    Of course the blueprint was first made using ammonia before the microform image was created, Blue I bet you can also still smell ammonia when you look at a blueprint :D

    How can one not think of RCA Victor and not think of Nipper the RCA dog.
