Anyone have photos or links on Yaesu FT-2900R installs in a 2nd Gen Tacoma? Not having a detachable face makes it tougher to find a mounting location out of the way that does not scar up the interior or bounce around on rough trails.

    I waited a while before requesting a vanity. I couldn't decide what I wanted.

When I get a break from school, Ill continue studying for my extra. I was thinking I was going to wait at first simply to take advantage of the rarity of them... But Nah

Hi all, I'm still new around here. I saw this topic on the main page. I've got my amateur radio license. The name is Jeremy and my callsign is KI4OQS. To be honest I haven't been on the air for quite some time...school and then work took priority. I need to get back in it. I'm enjoying looking at everyone's setup in their Tacomas!

    nice.

Im running a borrowed FT-60 through a 1/2 comet. I can receive really well but sometimes transmitting when in the sticks is rough. Planning on getting a Kenwood D-710 in the future.

But the current system gets me connected in town and on the trail.

Hey Folks, Just found this forum. Any case I thought I would share the mount I made for my 857d. I struggled figuring out where to mount the face place and came upon this idea.

Looks Clean, I used a goose neck installed on the drivers seat bolt but, just ordered a Tech Deck to move it up to the area by the A/C controls.

    Yes.
I did something similar, but used a RAM X-Grip to hold the face on my TS-480Sat

The TM-D700 mount is screwed into the bottom of the same lip the Tech Deck bolts onto.
