As far as the carrier bearing and shims. I have added it to my last 2 Tacoma without issue. I would rather have to remove it after if not needed

Fellas hope y'all can help me out here with what I imagine is an easy question. I have some lines on order from JP so while I'm waiting I figure getting familiar with the procedure is paramount. My concern is when disconnecting the lines what prevents the fluid from completely draining from the system and possibly causing damage to the ABS control. Is this just me being overly cautious or is there a technique that someone could share.
    Thank you

I just did mine today. I used a small piece of rubber hose capped with a bolt to stop the fluid from leaking out while changing out the lines. It still got messy, but minimized fluid loss. Couldn't tell you the size as I got all that stuff from a junk drawer in my toolbox, but I can tell you that it's smaller that the stopper from your oil filter drain on your engine. Worst case scenario, just be quick about it. You're going to lose fluid no matter what, but this helped me.

You don't lose that much fluid to have to do anything extra. Simply pull the old one off and put the new one on then do the next one. Spray down whatever got brake fluid on it with brake cleaner then bleed the brakes and add brake fluid when needed.
