Ok i have a question and there are 29 pages in this thread, please forgive me if it has been answered. Are these longer than the stock lines and will they work on a 3" lift"?

On my 2001 Tacoma, I only see one brake line in the rear. So I only need 2 in the front and 1 in the rear. Is this correct? What is the price for just 3? I just installed OME leaf packs on my truck and I am interested in getting new lines.

I must be mechanically inept (or so I feel) because I cannot get the fronts to push through the brackets as others have. I've read this whole thread and not once did I see someone mentioning how they can't get the new lines into the brackets. I saw "use two clips" but I can't get the line into the bracket far enough to even use a single clip. I tried wedging, I tried twisting and turning but I think I need to dremel it out by 1-2mm and use double clips. If that's the case I was ill prepared for this installation. Anyone else have troubles installing the fronts?

I can't get the line in far enough to do this: [IMG]

I have a 2010 Dblcab 4x4. I have not attempted to install the rears yet, will do that here in a few.

Not that I could find, but there is a general "step by step" a few pages back. that combined with the other thread I posted should be sufficient. Maybe a thread should exist for the OP.

Finally tried to install my lines yesturday. Did anyone have a problem getting the OEM line off the copper line? I couldn't get my front left installed because the dagum line bolt wouldn't come free from the rubber line...

About to attempt a re-install of these today. Yeah, you might need to use baby vise grips instead of flare nut wrenches to prevent rounding off those nuts, they are VERY soft.

Yeah, I used a flare nut wrench. I got the bolt completely loosened, just couldn't get it out of the OEM rubber line.

What seems to be happening is that they were over tightened from factory. A little elbow grease should do it.

Not so much....I had to go to auto zone and buy a new line to repace the OEM one and bend it to match. No big issue, only like $6 for the line...

It took quite a bit of work to install these myself. Here is some flex out picks i took for another thread. Got plenty more room here!

Some tips i learned: dont cheap out on flare wrenches such as duralast. They flex too muxh and you cant tighten them enough to prevent leaking. This leads to leaking and rounding off nuts. I found all this out when i took the truck into get the stripped nut fixed. When they went to powsr bleed thw brakes they noticed it was leaking leaking around all of the ones i did.
