That is incorrect, the lines are direct replacement. Meaning, you remove the old set and install the new one with zero modifications.

You don't have to buy new clips. You just have to bend the stock tabs a little bit with a pair of vice grips or channel locks and they secure as tight as stock. Just some input for anyone wanting to buy these. You can see how I bent them in the pictures above if you look at the ends of the lines.

This is also what I did, I've had my lines for 3 years and haven't had a single issue.

Just install the SS brake lines and realized how easily the OEM rubber lines could get ripped or broken off roading.

    Excellent quality, thanks!!

This is the first I've heard of this. When bleeding my brakes we used the pedal method, key was not in the ignition and had no issues. Perhaps this only occurs with the newer model trucks, mine is an 05?

Yes the key has to be on ACC for pedal pump bleeding. The ABS system talk to while your bleeding.

Just installed mine this past weekend on a 2012. Other than the upper rear giving me some trouble installing everything went well. I did need to bend the clips to get better tension on them to hold.

I bled using the pedal method I always have but did turn the truck "on" not cranked though during bleeding procedures.

Hah, then maybe I somehow missed this step when looking up bleeding the brakes on this truck. In my other post I mentioned this is the first time I've done a disc/drum combination setup. But if this isn't required on earlier models then it could just be the newer ABS modules. Here's my MC setup (2013 Offroad)
