Well damn. That's what I get for sleeping in today and not checking my alerts earlier. Sorry.

And if you want a reciever lock, but don't want to carry an extra key, BOLT reciever locks for Toyota keys have dropped a few bucks down to $26.50

Sorry, but I haven't installed them yet. I plan on getting an off-road bumper soon (on a memorial day or 4th of July sale) and was gonna install them on the new bumper.

Mine came with the harness and switch as well, but one of the lights looked horrible so I sent them back.

This guy does a pretty good review (of many different things). After watching I bought an Audew as I no longer trusted the NOCO I'd previously bought.

Interesting. I'm glad I didn't drop the coin on the NOCO when I was in the market. I kind of figured that there were different grades, but figured they were likely all made in the same factory and just branded by whoever bought enough units to have them branded.

Makes me wonder how the NexPow I purchased for under $40 will perform.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z69QHN6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now I'm on the quest to find a way for the average person to test their jump starters effectiveness. It kind of defeats the purpose of having it if it won't start the truck...

Caveat Emptor. Lithium batteries do burst into flames. Reference cellphone and hoverboard fires. A Tesla or two have gone up in flames. I stick to OEM batteries when dealing with cameras, phones and other consumer devices.

It's still pretty rare given how many billions of lithium cells are in circulation at any given time.

It is notable that youtube review called out a little smoke from the Audew while starting. Hopefully this is just overheated wiring and not indicative of a deeper battery problem.

I have a noco one. I got mine on last years Amazon prime day deal. It is amazing. Little elicit yes. But it’s so good. Jumped 3 people in the parking lot at work one day during A bad snow storm. All without having to move my truck at all.

Based on taking apart 3 different brands of these high energy density jump starters, I trust the Noco to be less likely to cause a fire. I am curious to see any real data on this, but their build quality and internal design /do/ seem to be better than the cheapies I looked at the insides of.

I can not back any of the “build” or parts up whatsoever since I have no idea what I’m talking about lol but from a customer perspective. They seem well built. Easy to operate. And work awesome.

Fair enough. What i mean by that is if you take it apart, the plastic structure is actually designed inside. The wire is high quality and of sufficient gauge, the soldering is clean and the board looks good. In contrast the HF one I looked at seemed of questionable quality inside, especially for such high current. The Noco doesn’t have the highest capacity but I think you are getting better design input for your money.

That’s good to know. I got it thinking I’d never use it and then within a month it was used for great cause!

besides having one messed up; did these come with mounting brackets at all?

Im wanting to possibly get these to swap into my fog lights to replace my cali raised fogs. Not sure if i can re use the cali mounts i have already. Also curious if I can reuse the harness from cali raised and just make this a full PnP swap out and not have to rewire anything.

They won't fit the cali raised fog light brackets. The cali raised pods have a center mounting point, these mount at the bottom (or top if you flip 'em).
    20200424_124515.jpg

The electrical connections appear to be identical.

The Rigid kit I got off woot did come with all the brackets (and two good lights).

Makes me wonder if I should try and reorder off of woot.

But yes, brackets and a wire harness did come with them.
