Some good discounts I saw were Tekton torque wrenches, Jackery's, pressure washers, and Meguiars/Chemical Guys products.

How did this work out? I bought one - it is going back. One of the threads for a bolt that attaches the arm to the main body stripped well below the torque spec. Not the quality it needs to be. It was not well packed either. The box showed exterior damage, but the contents arrived undamaged. In any case, I'm not happy with what arrived.

Mine arrived just fine, packaging was double boxed, so there was zero damage. I compared it to my OEM part, and other than it being painted vs powder coated, it was identical. The weight between them is off by an ounce or 2. The spring is also a little different, the faux step being louder when moving between positions.

For the install, i used the upper part from the faux step and the lower part is OEM. I used OEM hardware too, so I had no issue. Was it the bolt itself that failed or the hole it threads into?

So far so good. But my OEM broke after 4 years, so time will tell if it will last.

It was double-boxed, although the outside box was more of a shell that was open at the top ends. The step was already mounted to the hinge, and had moved quite a bit in shipment, damaging the inner box. The step itself is in pretty good shape.

The mounting bolts are in great shape - definitely not stripped. It is the top of the hinge is where they drilled the mount hole and tapped it where the problem is. Both bolts did not fit quite right, as if the tap was metric and the bolt is SAE. The one towards the left of the step is definitely stripped - at this point the bolt simply turns. There is some threading left, and it took a bit of work to remove the bolt. There is not enough strength to hold the bolt though.

I can't say I am impressed with the workmanship of the step. Proper tapping and better casting of the arm would make it a better product. I'm trying to decide if I want to try a replacement or just get my money back.

I would try for a replacement, then if that fails, go for a refund. I guess the hassle is that you will have to pack and mail it out for the process to go through.

Got my Düvkori® installed and added a privacy screen and drink holder. Added a one-gallon gravity fed hose along the side for rinsing.

So I just tested out the hardware on the step that I didn't use. The bolts threaded in fine, but I noticed a problem with the little spacer that separates the step to the mount.
    20230721_001032.jpg
The spacing between the holes is just too narrow, just ever so slightly too close to each other. Which would cause one of the bolts to thread in at an angle.

You can move the spacer up the shaft, towards the non-thread part, then thread them in straight. Just tighten them evenly, it should go in without an issue. Or you can widen the holes so it isn't as tight.

i returned my shitty germ guardian air purifier that was loud af and not very effective. went with a newer model Winix. I loved my last one but it started to stink after 4 years of constant use even with new filters. My old house was a bit musty and running with candles burning i think contributed to the smell.

this is the model i got:
    https://www.winixamerica.com/product/5500-2/

    got it for $159.99
