I know others here have talked about Amazon Prime, basically you pay $79 a year for unlimited two day shipping or $3.99 next day air.

The program has worked great for me and allows you to extend it to 4 other addresses on the account. So basically myself and 4 of my famly members get to enjoy the benefit for one membership.

With Amazon fulfilling much more than just books and music now I do much more shopping there and save on gas for the stores, the hassle, & the tax too. (of course I always make sure to claim my yearly purchases bought online when I file my state's personal income taxes ;) ).

My latest purchase, a wii fit plus, was ordered at 10 am yesterday, was fulfilled & shipped from Texas by noon.
Even with a plane delay, I just received a text that its on my porch.

Same here. Had it for years now and wouldn't go without it anymore.

First year they gave it to me for free. I buy too much crap. :p

I really like Amazon Prime, too. I've had it since it started - which was an offer of a year free, I think. I still try to shop at locally owned stores when it's things they carry, but an awful lot of my general shopping is done at Amazon. I figure I must save at least $79 a year in gas by using them.

And, Simon's Mom, I agree the two day shipping is great.
