Amazon scammer?

If this isn't the right place, I'm sorry but it's about my 2016 Tacoma and wheels I purchased.

I got a too good to be true deal on Amazon for a set of Method NV's.

$352 for all four wheels shipped.

The seller created a shipping label through FedEx, but nothing else.

I know I can get my money back from Amazon, but I want the wheels.

Not sure what to do. My new tires, Falken Wildpeak AT3W's are sitting at Discount Tire waiting for me.

Anyone ever been scammed on Amazon?

Not sure... but I saw your original post and went immediately to Amazon trying to find the same deal lol.
I'm sure amazon will have you covered.

 

Doubt you'll get the wheels at that price bud, I'm sure thats way below wholesale. I'd go ahead and start the refund process with Amazon and go shopping again for wheels.

Even you said it was too good to be true. Why did you put yourself in this position in the first place?

I wouldn't be asking if it was too good to be true and if they'll ship.
More like if they're actually real.

 

I've tried to contact the seller. They appear to be a legitimate company.

If there's a problem I know Amazon will refund my money in the end.

Are fake Method wheels a thing?

As far as why, what if I do get them and they are authentic? Win!

 

Bots and/or scammers are supposed to try and appear and sound legit. That's the point.

 

Amazon refunded my money and I ordered a set of 4Runner TRD Pro rims in gray.

Oh well, it cost me some time, but I guess it was worth risking at the price of the Methods.

 

You apparently have A LOT higher of a threshold for taking a gamble at something you 1) said was too good to be true 2) obviously from a scammer/bot seller on Amazon 3) time/effort/anxiety/hassle that comes with refunds of hundreds of dollars with the back and forth for buyer "protection"

 

I really didn't think it was a scammer. Honestly, I thought it was a mistake on the part of the seller and initially only worried my order would be cancelled because of their mistake.

I've NEVER not gotten an item on Amazon. Sometimes late, but they've always arrived.

I mean really though, is "Pro'ing" out another Gen3 ever that big of a rush????

 

Scammers and bots are increasingly getting smarter. If you didn't initiate the refund process, you'd probably be going back and forth with Amazon after the seller captured your payment and charged it. Again, I guess you just have more of a threshold or less "care" in a sense if it could save you money. That just seems like a big gigantic waste of time and available funds to me.

 

Well, I'm not you. I can wait for my refund. Again, it was worth the risk. eBay- not so much.

 

This will go great with a set of KO2's i need the link where to get one from!
