This. I went Stock OR> Morimoto amber> KC Hilite Amber> Now have diode dynamics SS3 pro yellow fogs

If you refer to the fog light thread by @crashnburn80 (one of his incredibly detailed and sceintifically tested threads) the SS3 pro's are the best fogs in class. Every step I took above was an improvement but the pro's are actually insanely helpful. *yellow* or white really depends on your specific area (amber/yellow are great for snow and rain), but I still prefer the *yellow* hue for fogs either way.

The Pros were the best in class for output... but now there is the Diode Dynamics SS3 Max. I'm still waiting to test the unique yellow optic for those. The yellow Pros though are awesome.

Fogs are not 'driving lights' to supplement your headlights, they are designed specifically for poor weather use. When used appropriately in poor weather, selective yellow will be higher performing. Note that amber is different than selective yellow. Amber will be far lower in output, provide less contrast and appear monochromatic. Selective yellow offers the benefits of long wavelength light for poor weather performance while also having higher output and far better contrast. Amber is not an appropriate color for fogs, it is a signal color, though is technically legal though some dated regulations.

Why do you do this to me? Lol jk. Well maybe I’ll upgrade eventually, but the pros are pretty insane. There’s always something better :crapstorm:

LOL. The best is a moving target. The Pros are amazing though, but the Max is just ridiculous. Can't go wrong either way.
