    Hey,

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I can't seem to determine which solution is right for my truck. I have an 06 dbl cab, but have just replaced the headlight assemblies with some from an 09 and the front amber indicators are melting the lenses.

First, I'm not sure if mine is DTLR or non-DTRL - my amber lights in the front are on all the time, unless I turn on the headlights. Would that be considered DTRL? Also of note, there are only two wires leading to the harness for that bulb.

Second, is there a bulb that will work without modifying the wiring or relay, while avoiding hyper-flash?

If not, would this work for my truck to enable me to add any CK LED bulb? http://www.vleds.com/shop-applicati...nt-3157/turn-signals-front-3157-ck/vlr-c.html

I have tried putting in LED's that a guy at a shop told me had proper resistance build in, and they popped my 15A fuse immediately.

    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, these are considered DTRL's

Sounds like they used the regular 3157 bulb. The fronts require the 3157ck or they'll blow a fuse.

    Thanks for the response.

Can I just drop the CK bulbs in? Or will I have problems with hyper-flashing?
Do you know if those relay adaptors I posted above will work to prevent the hyper-flashing?

If they're led's you'll have problems with hyperflash if you just drop them in. In order to prevent the hyperflash you're going to need load resistors of some sort. It looks like the ones in the link you posted will work if you get the duo harness with them so you can wire them up to your factory wiring. Most of them are going to require some wiring of some sort unless you go with a full plug and play set of bulbs from Vleds which can get pricey.
