    Forum,

I've noticed that my front side marker light (see the below photo of the suspect light) will go out intermittently.

I've checked the bulb and it's in good shape. I also cleaned up the contacts (just in case) on the bulb/connector and applied a small amount of bulb grease.

I've found that, when the bulb does not illuminate, I can pop the hood latch and that generally turns it on - which makes me believe there is a bad/loose ground somewhere.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you remedy it?

    Thanks,

I spread the little wires on the bulb and finally got mine to stay on.

I'd replace the bulb anyway. They are cheap and you could have a bad filament.

I want to follow up to share the solution to my problem and hopefully help other TW members who run into this issue.

I pulled the bulb again and sure enough one of the contacts was bent. It looks like Sandyman and I had the same bulb installer on the Tacoma assembly line... I swapped in a new bulb and boom, problem solved. I've attached a couple of photos for reference. This first photo is the straight (correctly shaped) contact, and the second photo is the bent contact that was causing the intermittent connection.

    Cheers,
