Ambient Lighting?

I ordered a 21 Limited today! Can anyone tell me if there is ambient interior lighting? Thanks!

Try the head unit and also the brightness is controlled via the trip meter. It rotates left and right

 

Where is it? My wife just got a 21 4Runner and it is in the footwell and handles.

You should be able to find everything in the dark. Sometimes its better not to see what is in hand.

 

Closest thing I can imagine is the Southeast Toyota LED illumination kit that's port installed. You can buy it and install it yourself if you like. Lights up underneath the truck as you approach it and when a door is open. Then there are lights by the driver and front paseenger footwell that are on when the headlights are on. Regarding handles, I'm not aware of any OEM option, but ktjo4x4 offers some OEM style lights that will suit your needs.

 

The only ambient lighting is a faint blue light illuminating the wireless charger area.

I installed the LED illumination kit and the footwell lights. They were easy to install and was plug and play, no splicing. The directions were very precise and easy to follow.

 

Throw some red LEDs in the map lights if you like. Comes in handy on long drives at night when you want to stay alert sometimes. In a 2014 might be different in a 21.

This isn't an OEM part, it's a Southeast Toyota part. Easy to find online, just Google the part number above.

 

I'm trying my own version of an ambient lighting mod that should work for all current 3rd gens. I'll let ya know how it goes OP and share in a new thread with pictures in the next 2-3 weeks if it works out. It's a mod though.
