    what i'm thinking. if you can deal with what it's gonna be like if you do it yourself (think electronics like mentioned above), then you'll likely be happy in a 1st gen or something. get it with a lever and not a dial. you have good value in that 2wd so use it if you really need the 4x

    If so, sell and move on with your life and look back as a bad decision but enjoy your 4X4.

    I would bite the bullet and trade for the 4x4. The fact that you are considering getting a new Dana and shipping it to Hawaii is absurd by itself, that will cost as much or more then you would lose on a trade...
