We have concealed carry here, I'm not a supporter, if someone will go distances to eat someones face off, they wont think twice about shooting someone because they are a "zombie"

Just something that doesn't feel right about walking into a c-store behind a guy who has a pistol strapped to each of his legs.

I'm not a fan of open carry. If I'm carrying, I don't want people to know - makes me an instant target.

I agree with you in some ways. There are definitely people who have them that shouldn't. Then of course you have to decide if there should be a psyche evaluation before issuing them...which increases the cost, the time, etc...

I'm probably the most timid CCW-holder I know. I don't flaunt it, I keep my CCW card hidden, etc... I have buddies that flaunt the shit out of it, "GOOD THING I CARRY HEAT EVERYWHERE BITCH!"...yeah, ok Clint Eastwood...calm your shit. Annoys me.

Not to make things worse but to get mine in Arkansas all I had to do was sign up for a class, sit in the class for 20 minutes while they told us not to shoot people unless we had a good reason and to always have the gun concealed. We were then led out to the outdoor range where we each fired three magazines, in a giant line with dudes flinging their fucking .45ACP guns around pointing them in all different directions, laying them on the ground hot, etc... It was insane. Obviously we each had a background check done before we were given the CCWs.

I work with a guy who has a ccw, found out the other day he keeps it in the back of his jeans, all the time. He isn't the most morally sound individual, and sure likes his red wine. Sure they say you can't carry when you are drinking, but they also say you can't drive when you're drinking, and I think we all know how that works out.

I would support that sort of system, if someone has a weapon, I don't need to know about it, but I'd like to know they don't just hand them to anyone who comes in off the street.

Florida is much more strict than Arkansas - go figure. It was a little easier for me in Arkansas because I worked for the Police Department and the Sergeant who held the CCW class was my supervisor. My background was monitored very closely so they knew I wasn't a serial killer.

He carries it to work?! That would freak me out. Way too stressful to carry at work. Get pissed at somebody and who knows what might happen.
