Wow - that's a hell of a status update. Congrats on everything but the in-laws...:p

Before this one the girlfriend and I were sharing her 2002 Mazda Protege. Before that I had my silver 2011 DC PreRunner TRD Off-Road. Sold it and decided to consolidate on the car with no payment since we were living about 2mi from our office (we live and work together).

We then had to move out of that place and picked a badass condo about 15mi away, but with traffic it's about 30 minutes. The one car was then a burden as she needed to leave around 4pm and I can't leave until around 6 or 7pm when my guys leave. Was a logistical nightmare, but we made it work. My girlfriend is an angel.

One day I just made the decision that I wanted a regular cab but I wanted a 4x4. Those are very hard to find around here and if you do, they are gone in days - at least from my research. They just so happen to have a regular cab, 4x4 with no options which exactly what I wanted. Pulled the trigger and got it for around $500 less than invoice. I'm all about the deal. If it's a good deal and I like the car/truck, I'll buy.

Anyway...that was a long story to tell you I had a 2011 DC before this one.

Life is pretty crazy, but i'm excited.

I would love a regular cab 4x4 with the v6 or even do a 4.7 v8 swap.

Ya know, I thought the 2.7 was going to be a real dog but it's honestly not that bad. I mean, I'm not going to win any races, but for commuting to work and playing on the weekends, I think it's going to be perfect.

Tested 4L last night in a gravel lot and it still had some power in the lower gears. Plenty for my feather foot.

So I bought "The Rise of the Governor" novel last week, in print. I started reading it this morning after finishing another book, and realized I had read it last year on my Kindle.. fml.
