order it through my step dad, we are members of a gun club, I shoot regularly, and he is retired military....military makes it easy
I could go compete in something, but that means waiting longer.....and besides.....I will compete once I get a good .22 for bench rest...

M1's are awesome rifles. Hopefully that other thing works out and I can order one too

I have actually never fired them...but I have a fascinating with heavy hitting semi autos...its hard to argue with a 30-06

I love the historical aspect too. I will probably end up getting the cheapest they have and either refinish or replace the stock, and down the line (aka summer when I work) replace the barrel with a match barrel and have all the metal refinished.....

or i will get the second cheapest and be happy with it like that.....I wonder if you can supress them

 

We still have 22lr in stock and a bunch of other ammo at walmart. Seemed expensive though.

I was at the range on Saturday, they had crates of .223

 

Guy at work just picked up 2000 rounds of.223 for $800

The ability to buy guns isn't going away anytime soon. Just might be limited to which ones.

 

Theres a guy on CGN (canadian gun nuts forum) who grabbed 28,000 rounds the other day (Norinco .223). Filled the bed of his truck. People are crazy. I bought one crate of 7.62 * 39 once, it was just a pain in the ass to store even that much ammo (was 1180 rounds).

 

Yes, unfortuneatley, it has. And that last part isn't true by the farthest stretch of the imagintation. This is getting old.

 

Agreed. I like firearms. I like to shoot. I like the mechanical workings of guns. I like the history behind them. Hell I work for a weapons R&D contractor. But holy McFucknuggets can we talk about something else? Not just here but everywhere. It's getting tiresome vetting my news pages so I can actually find what's going on in the world.
