    It won't tell me the shipping price without ordering. I can't imagine that it is more than about $5 for USPS or UPS ground.

    For what people are charging for them. one could buy a few 500'
    of it in bulk. And you would not want to use this cord for stitches. You would more than likely die of a serious wound infection due to the dyes that are used.

    that might have been the smaller one, i clicked the 3/16 it said 500 which holds more than what mine did. for only a few cents more.

    2.20 -2.60 so .40 more for and extra 170lb weight load

    There are typically 7 strands of string/rope in the middle that are white. They would do if needed in a survival scenario.

    the thread inside the cord is white, and you wouldnt leave it in, it would hold you over til you got medical attention. and not everyone wants that much cord laying around or feels like making one
