    All kidding aside , that is one thing that Hockey has that is better than all other professional sports , one trophy . All the other sports , Super Bowl , World Series , World Cup , they make a new trophy every year , disposable .

    The original cup was put in the Hockey Hall of Fame and the current 5 ring configuration of the cup has been around since the '50's . The cup on top is a replica of the orignal 1892 cup with all the engravings , as the 5 rings of the lower section fill up with names , the cut out the upper most ring and weld a new ring to the bottom .

    The only other trophy that compares is the Americas Cup, yeah I'll give you that OZ, it's pretty bad-ass, lot's of brutal hard work to get it. I could walk into that lobby and see the first one, i was 11, i remember it. The Niners are a dynasty team, the 80's, no other team changed the league as much as they did. Time for glory once again.
