If you've already talked to or texted her since you found out it's too late to try and pull that trick on her. It'll be too obvious that it's a lie. She'll probably think you're looking for an easy out and get her pissed off more than anything.

Do what you gotta do to find out if it's yours and if it is then accept the consequences of your actions, step up and be the best father figure to the kid you can be.
