    Word is, the truck doesn't see much dirt or pavement for that matter.

    You're looking at an easy $4k on just parts alone. Then after the parts you will need to have a rear axle wide enough to clear the shocks on the frame and then a cage to hold the shocks. After you will need to relocate your gas tank since it will be in the way and re-plumb it to keep it secure.
