Ok.. so now that... that is over.
Here is the list of parts I ordered. Looks like I may have messed up, and only ordered the leaf packs..

IF so I will order that next. I don't know about the cb mounts though..

You can go to OK4wd in NJ and pick up a Dakar pack and save on shipping...

Yea that looks good. I was asking because I'm going with the Dakars as well and wanted to know what all you ordered. I think I'll order the complete kit from headstrong and also get the flip kit that you got from that other site. Once I get the rear bumper replaced thats next. From what i've read about the CB drop kit, it helps prevent drive shaft vibrations.

 

I sent her an email asking about the cb drop kit, you up for another round of suspension one day?

The full kit isn’t that much more, I think another $100.00?

Was that you getting the Iron cross bumper?

 

Yea sounds good, then when I do mine I'll know what to expect. Yes I'm getting the FREE, brand new Iron Cross bumper.

Productive first hour at the fire house duty crew tonight.

Fixed the ac that died this morning, new wiper blades and the Deputy helped me re wire the third tail light into the new tail light. Boo-yah!



Sway bar endlinks are getting replaced and truck will be aligned Monday.

Also. The poor UPS guy came before I got home...
mom said he was struggling with each leaf pack. She answered the door on crutches..
UPS: I’m not... even gonna ask...
mom: they’re my daughters...
UPS: your... daughters?? Ok now I gotta..
Mom: she does all the work with her friends. No shops.
UPS: Cudos to her.. but hell I wouldn’t wanna do it.

I cracked up when she told me. Gotta Say they look great!!!

$800.00 later. Both sway bar links replaced, both CV axels replaced.

Truck is still squeaking going over any bump. But the clunk is gone.

I’m about to pull my hair out at this point. I can’t figure out wtf it is

 

What do your ball joints look like? If you can with another person one rocks your truck side to side vigorously and the other lays under the truck and listen where the sound is coming from and very carefully try to feel with your hand if you can tell what is making the noise.

 

My truck squeaks like a rusty door hinge...

I expect odd noises, I just don’t let them bother me unless they sound destructive.

 

The tops a tad rusty, I’ve sprayed with the dry line stuff. But the noise is still there.

That’s my concern. It doesn’t have the horrible gut renching noise but it still sounds like something is broken, truck feels... looser? Granted it could be me being overly stressed with everything else and worried about the truck... \rant: works been pretty stressful lately, moms knee surgery didn’t go well, and that truck is the only thing really keeping me moving from place to place... which I’m sure is the same for everyone else... I just don’t have the free time like I did before because of work... aka I need to find a new job or transfer to something else outside of my department because I’m pretty sure it’s killing me.. literally /rant

especially after the mechanic found both axels were shot.

Memorial Day weekend can’t get here soon enough. I need a real break from work.
