    :annoyed::bananadead::frusty::frusty:

Crawled under after hearing this faint metal on metal sound that got louder today. Found this while trying to figure out the grinding sound. Not convinced that’s where the noise is coming from. I think it’s the drive shaft possibly.

I’ll check when it’s light out side again. But the big “clunk” came when the rear end hit the manhole.

yep. *sigh*. Just getting frustrated, not enough time right now to deal with everything.

@Arcticelf questions for ya, partly because my laptop is currently doa.

Replacement parts for the camburgs, do you recommend any in particular?

What springs would you recommend for safe removal of the sway bar? I can’t recall the weight you said.

Also it was good to actually hang out, I enjoyed our brief and rather sporadic conversations, it isn’t often I find someone with other broad views and knowledge on the matters :)

we definitely need to do that more often than once every 2 years :)

You want FK uniballs, check if your arms are 1.25 or 1", and you can order the replacements from Wheelers, kartek, or where ever you like, they should be $50 each or so. I got those arms in late '15 which is around the time they were switching over.

You also need this https://camburg.com/shop/suspension/camburg-uca-bushing-and-sleeve-kit/ bushing and sleeve kit. The rest of the parts should be re-usable, so you don't need to $320 rebuild kit unless you really want to.

I think 700#, or the heaviest from billstien/OME are a requirement to take the swaybar off. Otherwise it's just too sloppy on the road, and even with those, handling is a lot more like a boat than a car. when we rebuild your UCAs you can take a ride with me and see the difference.

    Agreed!!

When you say check the arms, their length or diameter?

Ok perfect, I’ll start looking once I get the laptop up and running again! Thank you!

I'm not sure. Pretty sure you want the larger one though.

I'll give them a call and see what they say. I have some other questions any way. I'm still not sure on the coils to get. I may just say fuck it and get a kit.

Replacing everything isn't an entirely bad option.

What shocks are you getting? I'd say if you're not sure on coils get the 700# set, very few trucks around here get lighter...

Haven’t looked into it yet, I do know I want to keep the truck at 2.75 or 3 for the lift, and obviously nothing lighter then 700# for the coils. I haven’t heard anything bad against Kings. Planning to get my ducks in a row during my week off from school. Priority is the UCA’s however.

I wouldn't worry to much about brand for springs. There's only a couple places that make them, but the color of powder coat is th major difference.

Ok, that sounds good. I just figured it would be easier to order as a kit.

So. I hit a crater avoiding a vehicle traviling in the wrong direction on a one way road way... and I spent the last week trying to figure out the new noise, and what I could've broken this time..

I didn't want to post and have to play the guessing games, because the truck still steered and handled normally.. just, had a weird sound.

Tonight we have a new guy at the fire house with a turd gen... he asks who the blue one belongs to.. long story short I popped the hood... stand by for mobile post and the moment of absolute "well shit. I'm an idiot../are you shitting me/hahhahahahaha/I hate this truck/how did that happen?/ glad I found the noise"
