    General answer. Yes it will fit. I am currently sitting on a 1 in block using the yellow bilstein in the rear now. There is at least 1" extension remaining. I've seen Tacomas with a 2" block using the stock yellow Bilstein.

    I have a Rough Country add-a-leaf and the longer rear Bilstein 5100 ( for 1"-3" lift ) ready to install.

    This is what I expect to happen if the 1" block and an add-a-leaf is used on the stock yellow Bilstein. The shock will be extended to at or near its max extended length and you will have no down ( extension ) travel. Even as simple as hitting a pothole will cause enough drop to max out the shock length and potentially cause it to bind up, not return and snap the rod. If not sooner, definately eventually. The rear shock length will be the limiting factor for any down travel or droop.

    There are length specs that can be found for all shocks where you can figure out your available up and down travel.

    Using the yellow bilstein while lifted will leave you with probably 4"-5" compression and 0 to 0.5" extension travel. Let alone if you maxed the shock length, that would be the limit of your lift.

    You'll need at least 3" up and 3" down of travel to be safe. Therefore a longer shock is better for a lifted rear.
