Amp Fan

Need to install me an amp fan for my DEI 1500x. problem is, I am not sure where I can put it. I have the amp currently under the driver side seat. I know how to wire the fan, but am not sure of where exactly to put it (on top, side, etc.). I have some old computer power box fans, not sure if those will work either (I can get some car audio fans if need be or what not).

Just worried about the location mainly and IF where I can place the fan(s) will it be efficient enough to keep my amp cool enough.

 

Have them blow across the heat sinks silly...that's the only way to fly

my cousin lives out there, I'm surprised your still alive. lol
I over heated my old Pioneer a couple of times, and it tends to cut off here and there (still good for coaxials imo), don't want this one to be doing that.

Around this time, it should be good. this CA weather is just plain DRUGGED!!! it doesn't know what the hell it's supposed to be. I have a huge prob with the a/c, it makes me sleepy (blame this on my dad, when I was young we would drive far and he would put it on blast, I'd be in the back passed out by the time we got out the driveway).

I'm going to do a little measuring tomorrow, also installing my new alarm anyhow, why not lol. I just hope that I don't end up frying this amp.

 

I thought that PAC fan said it draws 19 amps...then I saw the decimal point. I lol'd

That PAC one looks pretty decent and might move a good bit of air. Just make sure your geometry down there is such that it could work effectively.
