amp placement / mounting

Where is the best place to mount an amplifier? I am planning on a moderate 100w Pioneer amp with dimensions of: 11 13/16 x 2 3/8 x 7 5/8.
I was hoping this could somehow mount behind the dash so that the wiring could be neat and concealed. Would the amp get enough cooling if mounted behind the dash? If not there, then maybe under the driver's seat? I have a 2009 access cab so doesn't seem too easy to find a good place for an amp.

If you have the amp, just test fit under the seat or make a template for testing

 

You could perhaps mount it high in the footwell of the passenger side, but I doubt it will conceal very well. I'd most likely go with under a seat as the best place. It will get enough ventilation and be close to what ever speakers you are going to run with it.

 

Underneath the seats. If someone else like an audio shop is doing it underneath the seat. keep an eye on them because they might start cutting shit up like they did in my truck..
