I haven't seen one on a Tacoma but I have heard that they do not sit flush when retracted like they do on other trucks.

I installed a set on my d-cab, kids and wife like them!
Install was not too bad, the kit is well thought out. Harness and attachment points line-up very well with the components.

No experience with them on Tacos but I had a set on my previous truck (F350) for 5 years. Only once did they ever malfunction and that was when they were completely caked with mud and failed to fully retract, after scraping the mud off they worked as they should've. Other than shooting the pivot points with your favorite spray lube every once in awhile there was no other maintenance.

+1. Very good instructions. Also if your not good with colors then get someone who is, cause for me (colorblind) finding the correct color coded wire to tap into was a no go without my daughter. Customer is/was top notch also.

I know my wife will like them. I have the factory predator side bar on the truck now and it does not help the wife at all. My daughter has factory powered steps on her ford expedition and they are super easy to use. I expect the AMP will be very similar.
They look good on your truck, do you use them yourself? I very rarely use the predator step I have on it now, usually just step across it.

Well the wife let me buy the truck, so important they work for her..lol.
I use to enter most of the time, but as you state I tend to step over when I exit. But, in my opinion they were worth the investment.
