Anyone who is buying a used set of AMP Powersteps.... FYI: I have a BRAND NEW set of the actual boards. (BOARDS ONLY) Never installed and stepped on. I went with the upgraded longer boards with the stainless steel trim so I'm trying to sell the boards that came with the kit.

Buy a used kit for the "guts" and components needed for the install. And then buy my brand new boards that are not scuffed up, flaking off any of the coating, or marred by bad weather! Brand spanking new.

No, they do not prevent door dings. And No, you do not need to take off door panels for the install. Like it was said earlier, the hardest part of the install is aligning the boards straight/front/back with the shims, etc. Total install time is about 3-4 hours.

I LOVE my AMP Research running boards. I haven't had any problems with the motors/gears. My in-laws are part of the pygmy tribe and these boards have saved me a lot of complaints from them (and wife). I'm only 5'9 and with my lifted truck.... I no longer need to "pull" myself into the cab... I can just "step" in without needing to grab the "oh-shit" bar or steering wheel, etc.
