AMP Research Bed Step: Anyone Have One?

I have a 2011 Tacoma and bought a used one off of eBay. Seller posted in his listing that it came with all of the parts that came with it when he acquired it new. But he didn't include the mounting bracket -- which wasn't shown in the photo, but I didn't realize it was missing since I've never used / installed one before. I assumed it came with everything I'd need.

I've emailed AMP to see if I can get this part (and/or am trying to return this to the seller, who's being uncommunicative. I asked how he installed it if he didn't use the bracket and hasn't replied.) Curious if anyone has one and can offer any input on alternate ways to mount it.

Looks like you definitely need the mounting bracket.

 

Yeah, I watched that video earlier and figured as much.
