has anyone ever used this? If so is it easy to install and will it actually give me quality sound from my factory HU. (an aftermarket hu is not an option). I have a alpine 400rms amp and shallow mount pioneer to put in my 2014 tacoma with no-nav entune but I want it to sound decent and this seems like a decent product.

i cant find it to purchase on their website. I emailed them just waiting for a reply.

Sent them an email about it last week,

    this was their reply:

    Matt:
Thanks for the email. The EZQ is due to show up this week. We have been waiting for them to arrive. The manufacturing has already been completed. They are in route now.
The EZQ is not an amp so you still need an amp to power the speakers. Pricing will be released this week.
And some vids that show how it works are coming also.

Just a suggestion...do a search for ********* before you send them any money for anything. Don't make the same mistake I made.

I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole. If you want EQ added to your system go with something like the Rockford Fosgate 360.3, Arc Audio PS*, JBL MS-8, etc. They will give you much better control of the entire system. I currently run an RF 360.3 from speaker level inputs, as of this weekend it will have RCAs from a new indash nav. If you have any questions on wiring any of it let me know.

I have this installed in my truck. It works great!! If you dont have a jbl headunit then its very easy to install. All you need is one of their harness plugs and its a direct bolt on, you just have to route the wires from the headunit to wherever you choose to install the EZQ. And all of the wires have written on them where they plug into the EZQ very simple install. I really like the sound quality, but i also got their entire SQ1 package so it sounds awesome. If you guys have any questions about install let me know. They had problems with emails a while back and werent getting a lot of them so it seemed like they were ignoring people back in the day but thats not the case. Send them an email and talk to them about what you want and order your stuff that way. You will have a better experience doing that than ordering it off their website. They do good work on their product.

From what I got from the guy there is that they have a few option to buy.

They are selling them for $229, plus the wire harness kit is $69 and the bass knob is $29.00. The bundle price is $299.

The SQ1 package is new speakers for the front with tweeters and crossovers, new speakers for the rear, all wiring, all adapters for the speakers, 12" sub, and a ported box. You will have to buy an amp seperately and tell them what amp you plan to use so they can give you the proper wiring kit. I got an exile javelin amp, and it supplies 100 watts to each speaker at 4 ohms and 500 watts to the sub at 4 ohm and 800 watts to the sub at 2 ohms. The kit is a little pricey but IMHO its worth it because you get what you pay for and it sounds fantastic. And it's all quality stuff, I'm sure there will be those that disagree but there always will be the nay sayers.

Do you have a factory touchscreen? Does the converter cause you to have a hiss at low volume. This is what I've read from everyone that has tried to use a converter. I have a sub and two amps from my last truck I need to install and I've waited because I wanted to see someone else who has successfully used a converter with a stock touchscreen. I just need to build a sub box and buy some new components. I'll probably get the speaker and tweeter mounts from *********.

Hell, if you're going to spend $300 on a converter you might as well put $50 with that and get a Kenwood DVD touchscreen (ddx470) and have 4 volt pre outs for the amp. If you get it from Crutchfield it will come with everything to install it for free. It will sound a lot better than messing with the stock HU.

I've heard very few good things about *********.

I have the stock entune navigation with JBL, was the first year it was available on the Tacoma. And no hiss at any volume level. I have also heard of successful uses with the AudioControl LCQ-1. But the AudioControl LCQ-1 doesn't have a harness available for a direct plug and play like the EZQ as far as I know.

I bought the Audiocontrol LCI2 a few weeks ago for 100 bucks on ebay to be used in my truck. I have heard good things about this product in general. Can't i just buy the EZQ harness and use it with the Audiocontrol hardware since its sort of the same thing that ********* offers? 300 is pricey...I might as well buy a new HU for that.
